OBD0 Conversion to OBD1
Converting a car form OBD0 to OBD1 is relatively simple especially on the
most common car to convert...the B16A. Doing this conversion allows you to
use the s100, s200 or s300 Hondata systems.
Things needed:
- Adapter harness
- OBD1 Distributor
- 4 wire primary oxygen sensor
Adapter Harness

This adapter will allow you to Run a vtec or on-vtec engine in an OBD0 car
with an OBD1 ecu. It includes a sub harness with the additional wires
needed for vtec, oxygen sysnor and other sensors.
$150 retail through any Hondata dealer.
Distributor
There are now OBD1 distributors available with OBD0 plugs for the B-series
engines. This makes the conversion a plug and play affair without having
to splice wires or change plugs. The part number for this distributor from
www.rpmparz.com is TD44OBD0.

Oxygen Sensor
You have 2 options on the O2 sensor:
- one is to get a stock 4 wire O2 sensor from a civic or Integra (new
about $170)
- Purchase a wide band such as the PLX which has both wideband and
narrowband outputs to allow the ecu to still run in closed loop (starts at
$260)
