On board datalogging is available on KPro systems purchased after 8/2/2007,
and some systems sold between April 2007 and July 2007.
More details:
| KPro serial numbers 0 to 3831 |
These systems do not include the hardware to support
board datalogging. If you wish to upgrade to a system which has on
board datalogging you will need to send the complete ECU to Hondata.

| KPro serial numbers 3832 to 4110 |
These systems include the on board datalogging
hardware but require a firmware update for on board datalogging to
function. If you wish to do this you will need to send the complete
ECU to Hondata. Use this form
if you wish to upgrade. |
| KPro serial numbers 4111 onwards |
These systems do not require any modification to use
on board datalogging. (Firmware version 2.02 or greater). |
About on-board datalogging
The sampling rate may be varied from 5 to 50 Hz, giving a total recording
time of 10 to 110 minutes with a maximum of 250 individual recordings.
Datalogging may be triggered manually (by a switch)...

... or automatically by engine speed and throttle position:

Recordings may then be downloaded with a laptop:

Limitations
There are some limitations of the on-board datalogging:
- Recordings stored in the ECU cannot be erased individually. This is to
prevent the on board flash memory from reaching its endurance limit (i.e.
wearing out).
- Not all error codes are recorded in the on board memory. Approximately
60% of the most common error codes are datalogged. To retrieve all error
codes you will need to datalog with a laptop.
- Datalogging cannot be performed both on-board and from a laptop
simultaneously.
