Full Throttle Shift Parameters |

This tab contains settings relating to a rev limiter used while shifting so that gear shifts can be performed without releasing the throttle. Normally an external switch, activated from the clutch pedal, is used to activate the shift limiter.
Activation
Input - selects the arming input for the launch control..
Invert Input - reverses the effect of an input.
Settings
Shift Limiter RPM - is the limiter rpm when the shift limiter is activated. Normally this is around the rpm where the next gear would engage, typically 6000-7000 rpm.
Strain Gauge Shift Cut
The Strain Gauge activated shift cuts the engine for a specified time interval based on the input from a strain gauge.
Input - specifies the input pin used for the strain gauge amplifier signal.
Minimum Rpm - the minimum engine speed before the shift cut can be activated.
Minimum Tps - the minimum throttle opening before the shift cut can be activated.
Activation Voltage High - high input voltage activation point. This should be set based on the voltage observed when shifting.
Activation Voltage Low - low input voltage activation point.
Cut Duration - duration of engine cut.
Reactivation Delay - delay before the shift cut may be activated again.
Ignition retard - retards the ignition for a set time period after re-activation.
Notes: This is designed for use with a strain gauge on the gear shift lever. The strain gauge must use an amplifier configured to normally output an offset voltage (normally 2.5V) with a positive voltage change when the lever is operated on one direction and a negative voltage change when the lever is operated in the other direction.
The strain gauge should be connected using +5V from an ECU VCC output (pins D19 / D20), ground from an ECU signal ground (pins D21 / D22) and the signal connected to an analog input, such as EGRL (pin D12). |
