I also am curious if it’s safe to run on stock cat
When/Will the FL5 pops and bangs be available for FK8?
Re: When/Will the FL5 pops and bangs be available for FK8?
Depends on how you use it. If you set the duration to maximum, retard to maximum and then free rev over and over you'll probably manage to melt the cat after a 20 minutes.
In normal use there is no harm to the engine or cat. After all, Honda uses this on the Integra Type S.

Really? There is no harm to the engine at all if just used normally? Also I have a question...I know the difference between stage 1 and 2 is the duration of the pops and bangs, but is there a way to make the pops and bangs a bit more subtle? More like a burble then a pop? I believe I know how but just want to confirm to your answer.Hondata wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 6:41 am Depends on how you use it. yes, dial back the retard and the duration until you find a response that you like. I dialed mine way back from stage 1 and found a nice burble with no pops.ooolEXILElooo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 8:08 amReally? There is no harm to the engine at all if just used normally? So I'm guessing that in the pic, if I want it less aggressive, that I would go down in numbers? Instead of the 24.75 I would go down to something like 15.75? I'm fine with the duration, just need it less...bangy. lol Thanks for your help!jeffx wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 7:33 amyes, dial back the retard and the duration until you find a response that you like. Try retarding the ignition less.

What did you dial yours back to? I tried 12 but that was too much...be nice to have a round about starting point. Oh and I don't have a cat, so no worries for me. Re: When/Will the FL5 pops and bangs be available for FK8?
try something like these values for ignition retard
9.75 9.75 9.75 9.00 8.25 5.25 4.50 3.75
reduce duration to something like 750-850 ms
with no cat you may still get more pops or bangs so you can try reducing the retard further if that's the case. My downpipe has a cat.
