AC Clutch not engaging

Post by topsimportgarage »

Hello, the AC clutch is not engaging when AC is turned on. I diagnosed it to the some sort of setting conflict in the S300v3. Here's what happens:
All of the wiring and has been confirmed functioning. I am able manually activate the AC clutch using the SManager in "Test Output" and by disabling the Nitrous Control/Aux1. With the current tune (attached), turning on the AC will not engage the clutch. AC pressure switch is temporary bypassed for testing. I was able to get the AC clutch to activate by changing the following setting: Parameter->Nitrous/AUX1->Function->Nitrous Control->DISABLE. However, the engine boogs at 2,000 RPM with the Nitrous control DISABLED. I've also verified the AC switch does toggle on/off in the Smanager "Sensors". I'm not to sure what to do from here to troubleshoot further. I've attached the calibration and datalog file. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried the ECU on a known working vehicle that has AC working?

The AC will work with this ECU if if the Nitrous function is disabled. However the engine will boog down at 2K RPM with the Nitrous function enabled. This car is an all motor vehicle with no nitrous or force induction.

Then why do you have the nitrous functions enabled?

The datalog you have provided does not show when this is happening.

I was able to resolve the issue by doing the following

Ignition in Accessory position (engine off)
Link to S300v3
Go to Nitrous/Aux 1, Function "Nitrous control", Input and change the Arming input setting to "disable", the change Function to "Disable"
Upload to S300v3
Turn ignition off, wait 10sec then start engine

The AC Clutch now works and there no more issue with revving past 2K RPM

I appreciate all the help you provided in helping me troubleshoot this issue
