To be completely honest, since we're tuning yours on the MAF sensor right now for part throttle I can't tell you per your car that the HR intake will make a big difference. But I can say from the 30-50+ HR intake setups I've tuned in the last year or two that it makes a big difference. Pretty much any of the 3.5" intake will make a big improvement over the stock intake for sure. The highest HP setup I've worked on yet was similar to use yours, but with a K-Tuned 72mm TB and a port matched inlet. If it had the stock intake, it would have been down on power by quite a bit. The stock intake works well, but it can't compete with the 3.5" intakes when tuned properly. Once you get the HR intake on, and a proper tune, the car will be very different from how it is right now.

Anyways, that last one looked great. I made a couple small WOT fuel changes, but nothing major. Take this one for a spin when you can, we might be there.

Hey EFICU,

Sorry to keep you in the dark. Still haven't had a chance to install the HR intake. seems that we're back to winter here in Alberta annoyingly. I've got vacation time set aside for next week and I will definitely get the intake on, and still would love to do a full tune with you.

thanks,
reddanx35.

No problem, just keep me in the loop when it goes in so we can get you the right calibration to start with the HR intake.

Hey EFICU!

Finally got the intake on and the initial tune you've given me loaded. Here's the first datalog on the HR intake.

Thanks!

Yeah it's looks pretty good. We will now move to the 15* cam angle with vtec at 4500. Take this one for the same type of drive and datalog.

Looking good. We will now move to the 30* cam angle with vtec up at 5500 now. Take this one for the same datalog and driving style.

Here's a datalog file from today's drive. hopefully its long enough, I lost track of time with datalogging haha.

Regarding fuel, recently found out that a different shell gas station has 93 available. I know we're tuning for 91, should I just continue to stay consistent fueling with 91 or would fueling 93 throw off everything that we're doing now?

Looks pretty good. I made some fuel and ignition adjustments. We will now do one on the 30* cam with vtec at 4000. Take this one for a spin when you can.

Looking pretty good. We will now move to the 40* cam angle with vtec at 5500. For these, you can take them for 10 minute datalogs, the main thing we need is a clean third gear pull. But you can shoot for 20 minutes if you want, just saying.

Car is feeling good! more and more alive for sure. here's a 10min ish datalog for tonight. Hopefully the 3rd gear pulls were clean enough for you, ran into a bit of traffic even during the evening oddly.

You might double check the datalogs, this one was with vtec at 5500. It should be hitting at 4000 in this latest revision. Double check the datalog, and or if the newest calibration was in fact uploaded before the drive.
