I have a 2019 civic si. I downloaded the software and registered (as per instructions). When plugging in to my car to lock onto vehicle it shows this
I watched some videos on installs and noticed under the history tab that the serial # and vin number are there. My flash pro serial number is their but it won’t let me type in my vin. Should I have done that when registering? These instructions aren’t that precise. Do I need to clear history or re register?
Wasn’t willing to erase my ecu until I got more info. Trying to install flash pro. Need help
Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
The message means that you 2019 ECU has a 2017 binary in it. You did the right thing going no further. Do not lock your FlashPro to this ECU.
If you (or the previous owner) reflashed using Ktuner then you need to return to stock using the Ktuner. The reason is that Ktuner puts the same binary into any ECU regardless of year, so the binary is mismatched to the ECU.

Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
I bought the car used from a dealer so how can I get this done.
So I have to bring it someone with a k-tuner. Because I don’t know the previous owner.

Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
It can only be done with a k-tuner? Or can a Honda dealer reprogram my ecu.
Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
Can it be done with anyone’s k-tuner? Also can a Honda dealer reprogram my ecu.
Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
I suspect that the Honda dealer is going to have a problem because their tool will see the ECU as 2017.
I'm not sure if ktuner can return to stock without the whole locking/unlocking process but that probably is the best way forward.

Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
Well I ordered a brand new ecu using my vin number. The ecu number was the same. I live in I would have to drive 6 hours to the closest K-tuner shop and they weren’t positive they could do anything with it. Hope this new one works.
Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
I ordered a brand new Honda ecu. Hopefully the brand new ecu fixes it. When I get the new ecu in and continue installing flash pro, when will I be able to enter the vin number. Under the “history” tab. It won’t let me type the vin in and the instructions don’t specify. Should I have entered it when registering. Or do I have to lock it to the ecu first before i can enter the vin. Just don’t want to mess up anything.
Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
With an new ECU you have to get Honda to set the VIN and match the immobilizer.

Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
Well I order a brand new ecu and had Honda dealer install it-vin/ immobilizer. Hook up the hondata and still says the same thing as the picture I posted about binary not matching. $300 for ecu 290 for dealer can’t get anyone to talk to me on the phone. Someone help.
Re: Trying to install flash pro. Need help
With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.
