|
|
I pulled the prom chip (AT29c256) from my p75 ecu to read the contents so I would have a backup of the tune. After downloading the information I saved the information in a binary format (see attached). I then proceeded to burn a new chip (SST27sf512). I have tried both the old chip and the new chip in the ECU but the car does not run. It will start up for just a second and then die out. Could I have screwed up the information on the chip just by reading it? Thanks in advance for any help you have to offer.
On a side note, if I change the extension on the binary file to ".re4" I can open the file in Smanager. |

The file opened fine on this end.
Was the car tuned with Romeditor 3 or Romeditor 4? |

| I thought it was tuned with re3 but I cannot be sure. Is it any hint that I have to change the file extension from ".bin" to ".re4" to have smanager open the file? Thanks for the help. |

| Check with your tuner, but it allows you to import the bin file into RE4 without any problems. Just check your parameters. |
