The Acura dealer will have to match the key and immobilizer for you. They will probably charge you for this and you must have the car there for them as well.

So, let me get this correct. I take the car to the dealer, hand them the ecu and they swap them out and match the ecu to the key/immobilizer.

Is there any way for me to install the ecu beforehand so they can just hook up their scanner and match it (without having to push it into the bay?).

I'm trying to make it as simple as possible for the dealer so that they don't try to throw in any bs charges (like the whole 2 mins it takes to actually physically remove and install a new ecu)

See http://www.hondata.com/immobilizer.html

Basically you drive the car to the dealership with the immobilizer disabled in KManager. Park the car in the tech area, then enable the immobilizer in KManager, upload to the ECU, switch off the ignition, take the key out, then let the Acura tech re-key the immobilizer.

So for my reflash, I'll just drive into the tech area, swap out the ecu's, and they can do it right there?
