Is Reflash #4 + IceBox work OK? Is it going to run too lean or too rich?

We recommend a true cold air intake, as people have had problems with detonation with the icebox.

What people? How did they know for sure it was detonation?

Was this during idle, crusing, and/or WOT?

Using the Comptech Ice box caused detonation....since we did not test with this modification I cannot say what exaclty caused it, but probably restriction or excess heat.

And people indicates those that reported detonation while using the icebox and the reflash.

I would suggest searching for this information on Clubrsx as that is where it was discussed.

I know this is an old thread. I just want to point out that Hondata alluded to the Icebox when they dyno'd their reflash with the '06 TSX.

The link is:
http://www.hondata.net/reflash_tsx_06.html

The comment they made about the dyno chart reads:
Note the loss in torque from 2400 to 3200 rpm. Intakes such as the Comptech Icebox will not do this.

While this isn't a recommendation for the Icebox, it doesn't underscore the larger issue of detonation. The TSX and the RSX-S use the same engine, although the underhood layout is probably different. Still, the Icebox comment on the TSX raises a lot of questions, particularly in the context of possible detonation for the RSX.
