Ethanol sensor question

Post by fonzeka »

Hi, I got a S2000 with kpro4.
Car has previously been tuned on E85 and now I have installed a GM ethanol sensor just to keep an eye on the content.
From my understanding I need to check "Ethanol content input enabled" to be able to read the sensor data.
I am guessing this also means all the flex fuel compensation tables will get activated.
Right now if I don't want the sensor to alter my tune is it sufficient to zero out all these flex fuel tables or are there more things that will be affected?

The point of the flex fuel sensor is that you can run any amount of ethanol and it will compensate and run safely. You should discuss this with your tuner.

Thanks for the reply and yes I'm fully aware of that since I'm tuning it myself.
Right now I'm just not that keen start all over with a full tank of gasoline, just wanted to get the sensor enabled and see how it reads.
