Hello,
I have been trying to locate the ECU number on my 2016 Civic Touring.... I believe I found the ECU unit itself, which has 2 large connection ports on the top, but have no idea how to get the cover off.
Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to do this? Why do they make it so difficult?
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you
How to find the ECU number??
Re: How to find the ECU number??
It is in front of the battery next to the air box. The ECU number should start with 37820. You should not have to remove the ECU to see this.
Re: How to find the ECU number??
Thanks, its the thing with the two wired connections sitting on top, correct? I looked all around that thing, looking for those numbers starting with 37820 and couldn't see them.... :( If you could do a video showing how to locate it, I'd really appreciate it..... :)

It appears you are looking inside the car. It is in the engine bay, see the picture above. In front of the battery and between the fuse box and airbox.
