Will S300 work equally well with P28 and P30?More Q's inside

Post by Wafler »

As stated in the topic.

- Will the S300 work equally good with either ECU - P28 and P30? I have a P30 but everyone seems to be using the P28 (?)

- Will a somewhat mechanically inclined person (me, in this case) be able to re-solder and do all the necessary stuff to an ECU to install the S300? Or is this on such a level that semi-professionals or better will have to do it?

- And, are all the instructions for fixing the ECU included with the S300 as well as all necessary hardware?

That's all folks. Please help :)

The difference from a P28 to the P30 is that the P30 has knock control.

IF you are competent desoldering and soldering then you should be able to do it yourself. If not, I would recommend letting someone more experienced do it or you may damage the ecu beyond repair.

Instructions ar on the Hondata website (http://www.hondata.com/s300socketing.html).
