Flex fuel question

Post by mbrishke »

I'm thinking about getting a PRL flex fuel kit. Other than flash pro my car is completely stock, I was curious if anyone else was running just flash pro and flex fuel, and how well it runs. Also would I run into any fueling problems being at 6,000ft of elevation(i also drive up to around 8000 feet on occasion)

Last thought, would the Hondata fuel system allow me to run full E85? Lots of questions, thanks for any replies.

It will work fine on a stock FK8. I can't speak to those elevation levels but I've had my car up around 5000ft with no issues. Do some datalogging with the current setup to see how the fuel pump is dealing with those elevations.

In any case, you won't be able to run pure E85 as the stock fuel system is inadequate. You should be able to run up to about a 30-35% ethanol blend IIRC. Adding the Hondata Fuel System upgrade will allow you to safely run up to about 50% blend.

You can run full E85 using the Hondata fuel system.
