Wastegate tuning

Post by Awsomsauce »

Like the electronic throttle is there any way to adjust the wastegate actuation. It seems like no matter what I dial the boost to the waste gate only allows boost to build to a certain point on WOT per gear. Is there any way to change the factory setting of the waste gate actuation?

Post your calibration and a datalog of what you are describing.

I don’t have the datalog anymore and the tune is a custom one that I would like to keep private. So is there a way to adjust the wastegate actuation? The turbo is small enough to be at full boost by the end of second gear, not hitting 19-20 psi on a 25 psi command. Top of second gear is near 60 mph.

This isn’t an issue only related to Hondata. A friend is using tuner and I’ve seen the same exact same thing with the same boost numbers on his car as well. The only common factor has to be the wastegate commands.

We need to see the calibration in order to determine if any tables are limiting the boost command. We need to see datalogs to see what the actual wastegate position is.
