No oil warning light on Euro FN2

Post by Stoney »

I was just wondering if Hondata are aware of the issue of no oil warning lights on Euro FN2s when tuned with a MAP calibration.

Using a MAF based tune they work 100% however.

Do Hondata have any plans to fix this issue......It could be costly.

Not working for me either and every FN2 owner on civinfo:

I notice previously you said this:

However all our cars surely cannot be wired wrong.

The issue goes away when I upload an AFM cal.

As you can imagine this light is quite important.

I am running beta 1.1.9.3, as is stoney above.

It is a race calibration. You should use the FN2 calibration.

What about for the people using aftermarket cams, forced induction etc who want/need to use MAP calibrations

All of those modifications will work with the AFM calibration.

In the next week we will have MAP tables for the FN2 ready for testing.

I can also confirm that we have an FN2 here with a MAP cal on which the oil light does not work, ie when you switch on the ignition the oil light does not illuminate at all

Didnt know you was active on here Guy, hope your well.

Anyway so the solution is to run the FN2 "AFM" cal now with the 1.1.9.4 and just use MAP fuel tables:

http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 040#p58040

Theres no need to run a MAP cal/FD2 ROM (which is why none of the gauges etc work right). Now Hondata have implemented the MAP tuning fuel tables in the FN2 AFM ROM.... so you can keep the AFM sensor for the gauges, and use the MAP (speed density) fuel tables for fueling. Sweeet

Hi Ashley,

I tend to concentrate my efforts on actually tuning the cars rather than talking about tuning them on the internet, however this is a serious issue as you know.

Hope your track day went well

One more time - it is a race calibration. Use the AFM calibration.

I can confirm that oil pressure light used to work on the FN2 with a MAP calibration but is not working with the new beta.
