Turbo FN2 civic A/F Ratio too much rich?

Post by Sonic_AFB »

Hi all, i have a turbo FN2 civic using race calibration, and at medium throttle load or less (about 35-39%) when fuel status change from closed to open-driving and start to have boost the A/F ratio is going to 10.5-10.8 at all range of rpm, in my external aem wideband is even less, sometimes 10.0, driving slow o just cruising when the fuel status is closed the A/F ratio is good 14.3-14.8, verified with hondata and the external wideband have similar values, i think at full gas the A/F ratio is very low too

Cruising

full throttle load

this means i need a retune in fuel tables in all range of boost?

thank you all and regards

Yes this sounds like a tuning issue it just needs to be leaned out in the areas it is too rich.

Thanks Spunkster, what would be a good A/F range for medium and full throttle load?

You should really discuss this with your tuner as there are many variables and what may work will on one car may not work as well on another depending on the setup.

If you are using the Race calibration I bet you have the wrong closed Loop > Lambda values configured...
In all race calibrations the target closed Loop in all loads is set to "1" which is the wrong value for the FN2!
Open the starting calibration of FI FN2 RSP based calibration to see the correct values.

https://www.hondata.com/techenginetuning.html

Col. 1 - 6: Lambda: 0.97
Col. 7 - 9: Lambda: 0.96 to 0.85 (must find out best value for you)
Col. 10 - 20: Lambda 0:80/0.81 (boost)
