I have a Japanese B18C-R.
My Japanese ITR manual says to run PFR7G-11
I will be N/A with bolt-ons and be tuning.
According to your post I should tune on these:BKR7EIX-11
NGK website says I can run these plugs:
- Standard - BKR7ES-11 - Stock #:4952
- V-Power - BKR7E-11 - Stock #: 5791
- Laser Platinum - PFR7G-11 - Stock #: 2380 (what I currently run and is OEM spec)
- Iridium IX - BKR7EIX-11 - Stock #: 6988
What is wrong with the V-Power (copper?) or Platinum plugs?
Why do you only recommend the Iridium ones?

You can use any plugs you like as long as it is the right dimensions and are a resistor plug.

What is the benefit of the Iridiums vs. the Vpower ones?

Copper, iridium etc all give the same spark and performance. The difference is that the plugs with rare / precious coatings will last longer (120,000 miles or more).

I tuned a b16a turbo with hondata cpr and I'm using bkr8eix spark plugs. When boost comes in engine starts to misfire (at 0.023inch plug gap), then I lower the gap to 0.020inch and it doesn't help. After I gapped the plugs to 0.011inch gap engine runs great, but I think that there is something wrong and the gap should be around 0.020inch. What you advise me to check, engine grounds are perfect, cpr working correct, spark plugs are new and they gapped carefully (center electrode is ok). Engine specs are: b16a2 with b18c camshafts, 9.5 compression, boost is 18psi with garrett gt3076 turbine.

Ngk bkr8eix and also I tried ngk bkr7e (which is normal copper plugs). Both plugs works fine with 0.011inch gap, and I leave the bkr8eix on the engine.
