Kpro V2 fuel percentage adjustment

Post by WillP »

Hi,

I am working on a EP3 K20a running Kpro V2 on the Dyno.

I have recorded logs on the Dyno to work on the recommended percentage adjustment of the fuel tables based on AFR but when I recorded a new log after loading the new adjusted calibration, I still get the same recommended percentage adjustments and the same power outcome on the Dyno even though the there is visible adjustments made?

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here? Am I running on the incorrect Lambda settings?

Thanks!

Did you upload the changes to the ECU?

Make sure that you are modifying the actual fuel table that it is running on as there are 6 different ones depending on the cam angle.

Yes I made changes throughout all tables.

I've got another one to work on this week so I will see how that one goes :)

Hey,

Just to follow up on this, I have been working on the Dyno again today.

I tested the software so loaded the 'dyno tuned' base map, did a run and logged it.

Then proceeded to work on the fuel tables based on the percentage guide.

I applied the percentage as advised, uploaded and repeated the sequence.

When I go back into the percentage guide with the new log of the last calibration upload, they are still the same recommended percentage in the same places even though the fuel has already been increased.

So it turns out the answer was right in front of me!

Instead of looking at the AFR on the Dyno log, I looked at the 'display' window of KManager

A/F.CMD shows the target fine

BUT

A/F shows 14.7 full time and it does NOT change!

How can I set this up to read the live A/F? Is there a setting I need to change for this data range?

What is the part number on the ECU you are using?

The PRA only has a narrowband o2 sensor. You cannot use a narrow band to get readings for air fuel ratios for tuning. You will need a wideband for this.

Ok thank you that explains it.

Are there any recommendations for these on this particular setup?

Is there anything plug and play to swap the current sensor out?

If not then I am correct to assume that I can fit a wideband sensor in the secondary lambda hole?

If I am correct then how is the wideband connected to the ECU?

Thanks

You would need to upgrade to the version 4 K-Pro in order to input a wideband signal to run closed loop and get these readings.
