Boost control non existent

Post by X30XAL »

Hi guys, I have a 2002 K24 Turbo EP3 and up until last week it was running 9Psi low boost 13Psi high. Suddenly I’m getting nothing but 6Psi high low whatever. Changed the solenoid for a new one (both Mac) and still no joy. My high low switch seems to do nothing. Nothing changed on the car just happened all of the sudden. At 6psi it’s showing 100% duty cycle when it should only be 87% at 13Psi. Stuck at what to try or do. It’s been boost leak tested with no leaks found. Any help appreciated

Is the solenoid still clicking when it is activated by the K-Pro?

At first I went straight to the solenoid as the issue (MAC) and replaced it with a new one, no change.

Boost leak test, no issues.

Completely redone wiring to boost solenoid and high/low switch, no change.

Re uploaded the map, nothing.

Kinked the pressure source at the solenoid and got 7/8 Psi (Gate Pressure)

Have since noticed that when it hits 6Psi the boost control duty is at 100%

That’s the bit that gets me the boost duty cycle is either 1 or 100 no in between

Post your calibration as well as a datalog showing the issue.
