You do not need to update USB dirvers. If it connects it is working.

You have not said what the error is that you are getting when uploading.

Hi,

I have the same problem. Just got my kpro for my jap ITR DC5 and downloaded the newest kpro. I tried updating the USB drivers via the menu but i get; "Error updating USB driver (Error:)". Doesnt say anything after the colon. The drivers were installed when i plugged in the ECU to the usb though, so i got online and the bottom left says "Driver installed".
So i tried to upload the k20-itr.cal but the "Online" turned to "Error" and nothing else happens. Whats the problem?
I'm using a PC with Win7.

Here's a pic of the USB update error:
http://i48.tinypic.com/b8s8x5.jpg

When uploading the cal, the error i get doesnt specify what kind of error it is either. (Didn't get a screenshot of that)

Regards,
Sam

Edit:
Also tried to follow the troubleshooting:
http://hondata.com/techkpro_troubleshooting.html
I cleared the security, the cal i had (which was loaded from the company i bought the kpro from) was for european civic type-r. So now i've got no cal at all and i cant upload anything.

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU? From Help, About, what version of software are you using?

I got version 3.1.6.
For the serial number, do I have to open the ECU to access it? I dont want to remove the sealing i have from CPL Racing. Is there another way for me to get you the serial number?

You have to open the ECU to see it.

Hi Matt,

The serial no for Sammo's KPro is 11490

I was able to upload a program with no problems on the test rig.

I would recommend taking this back to CPL so they can Check it out for you and make sure everything is working properly.

Alright. Have a question though. Kmanager says i have : ECU Type: PRA Euro Civic Type R. But the original ECU i have is PRC. Could that be a problem?

That means a PRA calibration has been uploaded. You just need to upload a PRB based calibration. If you continue to have problems, take it back to CPL and have them take a look at it.

The customer is based in Sweden and we are in UK, so it will be at considerable cost for the ECU to be shipped back to the UK and back to Sweden again.

Have you seen any instances before where a calibration would upload fine on the test rig, but when it is in the car it will not?

If it will only clear security and not upload then it sounds like an installation problem and you will have to take a look at it.

We tested that it cleared security and uploaded a program before leaving here, as is standard practice will all installations.

It uploaded first time with no issues.

I dont mind sending the ECU/Kpro to CPL again, but what if there's no problem with it? What could it else be? Incompatibility? I've tried uploading a cal with a Win7 32bit and 64bit and with a Win XP PC. Got the same problem. One thing I've noticed is that, when I plug in the ECU and turn the ignition on i see "Error" beside "Driver installed". I turn off and on the ignition and it shows online, might indicate that there's a problem with the ECU/Kpro but I have no idea.

Edit: My DC5 was bought from England. It has a Clifford alarm system, could that be a problem?
Edit 2: Works now.
Followed these steps given from CPL Racing:
Ign on
Open K Manager
Clear security
Switch off ign
Close K manager
Re open K manager
Open Calibration
Switch on ign
Upload calibration
