Reflash

Hey guys just bought a 03 rsx-s. Only mods I have so far are my shift knob and intake. Guess you gotta start somewhere.
Question: Is there any long term quality/durability issues people need to be concerned with when getting a reflash or k-pro? Will this shorten the life of the engine? I know honda engines are preffy fken durable but how durable?
I just want my car to last and also have a shit ton of fun modding it and ripping it.
