 Post subject: US ECU on NON US model

A friend of mine has a 2009 civic SI with ecu # 37820-RRB-K02. Since that ECU is not supported by hondata, I was wondering if we could purchase a RRB-AXX ECU, install it on the car, get it coded by the dealer and then buy the flashro to tune it.

Is this possible? If not, which other options do we have?

You would do this at your own risk. There may be unforseen problems which we will not be able to help you with since the ecu was designed for that model car.
