Re: Tip-in fuel question

It just means that at lower temps there is a lower rate of throttle tip in. Typically you will leave these alone. They are usually only adjusted in rare cases that have unusual operating characteristics. That is exactly what I don't understand though. The lower rate, is it less overall tip-in or lo...

Re: Mac valve and relay question.

mac valves work off duty cycle at specific frequencies. Relays can not react fast enough to provide accurate duty cycles or frequencies. The Mac valve needs to see raw the square wave directly from the ecu signal. The only reason to use relays on anything is when the ecu trigger is a low amp circuit...

Tip-in fuel question

In the TPS tab, The tip-in fuel tables (initial and normal) use a variable labelled as "rate". What exactly do these values do? Does it alter the actual amount of fuel added during tip-in enrichment? Or does it alter how long the tip-in enrichment lasts for? If it's the latter, does a high...

Re: boost controller adjustment problem

from how much boost should I start my table? the minimum I want to have? You need to determine all the values through trial and error. disable boost control, test, write down the level of boost it logs. 0% duty cycle = this boost level. enable boost control, use fixed duty cycle, set to 10% duty cy...

Re: Tip in Fuel vs Throttle tip in trim - running rich after each shift

regarding the AFR reading richer and richer with each gear, that could be based on oil temps increasing, or changes in air temp or coolant temp and having the compensations for those not set correctly. If the air and coolant temp comps are adjusted accurately enough, then it could simply boil down t...

Re: boost controller adjustment problem

your pressure vs duty cycle table is filled out incorrectly. It is impossible to have a scale of 3.4psi-25psi, no matter what the duty cycle range is set to. Please do some research to learn how to correctly figure out what values to use in the pressure vs duty cycle table. Until you do the above, I...

can you post the complete calibration file? I specialize in 3g preludes as a builder and tuner. Feel free to PM me if you want. I'm motoxxxman on Preludepower and honda-tech, Steve Belliveau on facebook. Also, what cams are you running? How did you get the compression up to 11:1? Have you done a smo...

Bug/Glitch in 2.7.3 - tip-in retard conditions

I don't know if this occurs in older versions, but since updating to 2.7.3 I noticed an issue with the Throttle tip-in retard conditions. When adjusting vehicle speed minimum and maximum, the values can be changed. But as soon as I save the calibration or change tabs and go back to the tps ign tab, ...

Re: Wideband goes rich right after letting off throttle

this is fairly normal. It's basically the opposite of tip-in enrichment. Tip-in is when you quickly add throttle, the engine will naturally have a lean spike, and that's why tip-in enrichment adds a little extra burst of fuel for when you quickly add throttle. Quickly reducing throttle has the oppos...

Re: Found a dyno but owner want to drive my car.

It's your fault for assuming you would be allowed to drive your own car on the dyno. No dyno owner would EVER let a stranger operate a vehicle on their dyno. It doesn't matter what your education is. It doesn't matter how good you think you are at tuning. The only exceptions are World renowned tuner...

Re: Tuning fuel injector shutoff/overrun

1) fuel overrun is not what you should be messing with. change all those values back to default. 2) if the injectors do not shut off when at zero throttle, no matter what rpm you are at, fuel will pool up and cause a severe rich condition when you get back on throttle. Which will make the jerkiness ...
