Re: s300 knock sensor with a p28. analog input possible?

Is there a method of switching to the newer non-resonance wide range knock sensors. The ones with the thru 8mm hole? I have a method of fastening it to the engine but the output characteristics are different between the narrow range 1 wire knock sensors and the newer 2 wire knock sensors. The 1 wire...

Re: T1 cam tigger for hondata

T1 cam trigger uses a dual output hall sensor. The sensor uses 4 wires. Power, ground, hall 1 and hall 2. Hall 1 output happens when a north pole of a magnet passes over it. Hall 2 output happens when a south pole of a magnet passes over it. The honda distributor uses 3 sensors. TDC, CYP (also known...

With a GT45 you should be able to pull off 1200 hp but for that I'm sure the motor would require rework.

Do you have any more pictures of your work?

The OEM dizzy uses a mag reference sensor. It produces a wave pattern sorta like a heartbeat in other words its a simple high to low or low to high trigger. It produces its own current/voltage. The triggers is what the ecu is looking for. The TDC uses 1 trigger per revolution. Since the cam turns at...

G-sensor and 2nd ignition trigger question.

I have the G-sensor installed in my S200. Will it still be supported in RomEditor 4? If so I may be upgradng to it or going the S300 route. Also I plan on adding triggers on the OEM cam gears and simulate TDC and CYL position sensor inouts for the ecu and add the OBD-2 oil pump and CKF sensor for CR...

Apex boost solenoid in place of GM solenoid

Will I be able to use the Apex boost solenoid instead of the Gm solenoid? The solenoid is a better quality unit. It has wires and I can repin it to use OEM honda/sumitomo connectors. The housing is a metal unit and most guys have reviewed it to function very well. http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/vie...

Aman, you have a better way of fixing your IAB issue w/o a relay. On you 99 GSR the IAB solenoid connector will have two wires. One will be a Black and the other will be Red with a Blue stripe. As mentioned above the ECM control is reversed. The logical thing for anyone would be to install a relay b...

I've figures out what I'm going to do for it. My goal is to use the greddy e-manage ultimate to control the four channel ignition duties. It has the capability of taking the cam, crank sensors and igniter command in and spitting out four outputs for individual spark output. I intend to use this outpu...

BTW, does the S300 use a lambda wide band input for tuning only or does it keep it there and make its necessary adjustments? In other words does it work in open/closed loop using the OEM 4-wire sensor or does it work is full loop using a wide band controller's lambda output?

Thanks in advance

Joe.

Questions for Hondata

I know you have a lot going on but if you can chime in I would would really appreciate it. My S200 has been working wonderfully but I wish I could say the same about the ignition system. Quite frankly I've had it with the distributor and would really like to switch to a 4 channel M&W ignition PR...

Its good to see that you've got the thing working but 10.X:1 is way too rich and can easily wash out the rings and loose compression and flood the engine. You really need to tie the wideband into the o2 input and select the appropriate sensor lambda selection. This will enable the software to read t...

The only units that datalog today are the S200 units. If you were to purchase the S100 the dealer will need to use his/her datalog enabled S200 box to tune your car and then assemble your ecu with the S100. The S100 unit keeps your ecu self contained just like having someone make a custom program fo...

Once you get over 600 cc you really NEED a good spray pattern to get the fuel to atomize right for proper idle and good driveability. I just recently tuned a turbocharged type-R w/1000 cc injectors. Idle is at 1000 primarily since this car has a lot of stereo equipment in it and I didn't want the li...
